Comment: What a lovely guest house - set in a picturesque part of Oban town overlooking the hills of Argyll! Great hospitality and very comfortable. The Rooms are private and the en suite is a definite bonus!

Bob & Julie are excellent hosts, Julie especially very attentive to our needs, thanks Julie. Comment: We can’t recommend Briarbank highly enough. The best welcome we have ever had met by Julie with a glass of whisky. The room The MacDonald we felt was under priced as so lovely with a four poster bed. The breakfast filled the large plate and was beautifully presented and we even spotted a Red Squirrel in the garden.

Comment: Briarbank was superb (should be classed as 5* if Scotland ever had that rating) in our opinion, every attention to detail. Bob & Julie were just brilliant hosts, chatty, warm and very welcoming. Our room, The McDonald, was so relaxing, the bed so comfy and whisky waiting for us each night. We will most definitely return.

Comment: I have not written to Tripadvisor or any Guest Book before but I felt I just must tell everyone how nice staying at Briarbank was. Julie could not have been more helpful you can tell that she really cares and wants you to have a good holiday. Our room was lovely and she had thought of everything to make our stay really cosy. We had a great menu to choose our breakfast from and each morning the plate was full (no expense was spared no small plate with only a few items) this breakfast plate was large and full and beautifully presented so much that another guest took a picture of there breakfast as they were so impressed. Anyone who wants to stay in a cosy B & B and to enjoy a good breakfast then you must choose Briarbank Oh I nearly forgot we had a glass of whisky & peanuts left for us each night thanks Julie.

Comment: Spent two nights at the Briarbank  b&b in Oban during February 2009 Possibly the best B&B I have ever stayedin. Really nice rooms,stunning breakfast and really nice hosts. Been in a number of B&B's in Oban but this is by far the best.

Comment: Brairbank:~ Your welcome Julie was first class. The room ~ excellent very comfortable with those little extra touches and attention to detail that make a difference. Everywhere was so clean. Breakfast was wonderful and a good start to the day. A ten-minute brisk walk and you are in the centre of town. We would highly recommend a stay with Julie & Bob to anyone visiting the Oban Area. A special Thank-You, to you both, for allowing us to share your home, ~ We shall return. .

Comment: I stayed at Briarbank in June'07, and im sorry i never said how wonderful this stay was..I often think about our stay, julie was wonderful as a host, and i have never stayed in a B &B since then that compares to the genrosity we experienced....Rob and myself will be back again, and Julie you will receive another email from me to book us in again, this time we will stay longer....Thank you again Marion....

Comment: Stayed in October 2009, for three nights, the welcome could not have been warmer, the breakfast any bigger and the bed any softer. Would recommend to anyone who doesnt mind a wee climb up to their bedroom. A fantastic start for the two of us in married life, well done to the two of you, and best of luck, Warren and Sandra Thomas

My friend was over from Oz and we each had a 4 poster bed to ourselves,pure luxury. Lovley hosts, so attentive. I can't praise this wee gem highly enough and am recommending it to all my friends. Comment: Had the most wonderful time at your beautiful guest house. Fantastically attentive with the most wonderful choice of breakfast. The extras in the room with the fluffy dressing gowns sumptiuos cushions and four poster made us feel incredibly pampered. Your location is excellent and recommendations of things to do and places to eat were very helpful proved as good as suggested. It seems to me that detail is high on your list of priorites and you have attained the highest standards. Thanks again.
